chatlobby copyright and DMCA policy

chatlobby hosts images and messages submitted by its users. we do not create that content and we do not review it before it appears. where a rights holder tells us something infringes their copyright, we remove it.

reporting infringement

send a notice to hello@chatlobby.cc with the subject line copyright. so we can act on it without writing back for more, include:

• identification of the work you say has been infringed
• the location of the material on chatlobby — a direct link where possible, or enough detail for us to find it
• your name, address, telephone number and email address
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
• your physical or electronic signature

what happens next

we aim to review notices within 72 hours. material we remove is removed from public view immediately on action, and we tell the user who posted it what was removed and why.

one thing worth knowing before you write: most content here has a short life by design. chat messages and their attachments are deleted automatically within 24 hours of being posted, and user sessions do not persist. if the material you are reporting is older than that, it is very likely gone already — and we will say so rather than pretend to act.

counter-notice

if your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, write to the same address with the subject line counter-notice. include what was removed and where it was, your contact details, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed in error. we will pass a counter-notice on to whoever sent the original complaint.

repeat infringers

accounts and users who repeatedly post infringing material are removed. because identity here is deliberately thin, that enforcement is necessarily imperfect — we act on what we can see.
