four public rooms are always open: general, dating, politics and sex. the first three are text. sex is explicit, and it's the one room where pictures, gifs and videos can be posted. you pick a name, a gender, an age and a country, and you're in the lobby with everyone who's here right now.
talk to strangers one to one
every name in the lobby opens a private chat. you can send pictures there too, and they arrive blurred until the other person taps them. private groups do the same for a few people at once — invite only, and gone once the last person leaves.
a guest, or a free account
as a guest you fill in one form and nothing about you is kept: your profile goes about an hour after you stop, and every message clears within a day. an account is a username and a password. it reserves the name so nobody else can wear it, and it holds the level you earn by talking to people and the sparks that pay for swaps. neither one asks for an email.
rush hour
once a day, at 19:00 utc, the lobby has its busiest hour. the pill at the top of this page counts down to it in your local time. if you want the rooms at their fullest, that is when to come.

is chatlobby free?
yes, all of it. the site runs on a few ad slots. sparks, the currency inside swap, are earned by talking, by levelling up and by watching a short ad; they cannot be bought.
do i need an account?
a guest name is enough to talk in every room and message anyone. an account adds a name that stays yours, and the game layer on top of the chat.
is there video chat?
no live cameras, ever. pictures, gifs and videos can be shared in the sex room, in private messages and in groups.
who moderates it?
automated filters check every file, and a person reads every report. a block works both ways, and the rules take a minute to read.
how old do you have to be?
eighteen, everywhere on the site. the sex room is explicit and asks you to confirm before you go in.
who sees my pictures?
in a private message, one person, and it's gone within a day. in the sex room, everyone in the room. in swap, one stranger, and it stays in the pool. anyone can take a screenshot, so only send what you'd be fine with a stranger keeping.
